A NOTE FROM THE SCHOOL NURSE

Dental services provided in Term Three:

Future Care Mobile Dental services will be visiting us here at Sirius College in July. For anyone that is interested in Dental care for your children please feel free to discuss in greater detail with the school nurse. If you would like more information on the services, simply complete the paper work sent out as Oral health care will be provided on-site at our school through the mobile dental clinic. The service will be provided by a team of professional and experienced oral health staff including dentist, dental therapists and dental assistants as required. An offer of dental treatment is issued by way of a Medical History/Consent Form being completed correctly and returned to school for processing. This service is a funded by the Australian federal Government. It is based on eligibility under the Medicare scheme. For those Eligible Medicare will cover costs. This service is available to all students enrolled at our school, however even if your child is not covered under the scheme the team will provide a free oral check-up and full treatment plan. It is the responsibility of parents/guardians to ensure completed forms are returned promptly. Only children whose parents/guardians return completed Consent Forms will receive this care for the dental services.
